Hi there, I’m Tracey and welcome to my website. I’m blessed to live and work in North Norfolk, an area of natural outstanding beauty which is dominated by nature, the coast, wetlands, woodlands and meadows - inspiration is all around.
I’m a mixed media artist and I just love to create. I come from a long line of very talented, creative women. My wonderful mother, grandmothers and great aunts all of whom delighted in teaching me at an early age the art of stitching, sewing, knitting and crochet. My hands were never idle!
My passion for creating has never dwindled and in the 1990s led to me studying for the City & Guilds in both Creative Embroidery and Planning Designs. I followed this up by completing many courses in the following years including completing my Higher Professional Diploma in the Creative Arts in 2007.
I would call myself a somewhat “closet” Artist, only recently putting some of my artwork on social media and becoming a member of the North Norfolk Studios. I have in the past taught as a guest teacher for Adult Education and held one day workshops.
As a mixed media Artist, I like to work abstractly and small, sometimes intuitively led or is it really just going with the flow? I like to work with paper, paint and stitch. Painting and printing my own papers, dying my own threads and fabrics where possible.
My Artwork will have elements of the old & the new, past & present, recycled & reused. Inspired by the thrifted, preloved, leftovers, the everyday, flora, and the coast. Not forgetting my passion for all things vintage, making and filling my sketch books.
All my artwork is original and handmade by me with love, joy and passion and is available for sale for yourself or as a beautiful gift.
Postage and packing costs are extra (charged at cost) and I will endeavour to use recycled packaging whenever possible.
If you have any queries you can contact me via the message form below. Many thanks.
This little piece of mixed media textiles is inspired by Norfolk big skies and garden forget-me-nots, and is mounted on a vintage book cover.
